| already missing her |
[Apr. 3rd, 2009♥06:14 am] |
My grandmother (my dady's mum) passed away 3 days ago. My parents said she died peacefully. Sometimes I wonder if the term "dying peacefully" is even a correct phrase.
I kinda knew it was coming. But reading my dad's text informing me that she did pass away that late night gave me a different rush. My life flashed before my eyes.. I never thought that that could really happen. And all this time I thought it was just a figure of speech everyone overused as an expression.
As I slowly digested the message, I began to leak. At first I thought I wouldn't, but I did like a normal human being would react to a scenario as such. And gradually enough, my eyes began to pour salt water from my ducts.
It is sad news that she had to leave this soon. I never got the chance to verbally tell her how much I loved her and how much a wonderful grandma she was to me and my brothers. But I know deep inside that she knew that I did..that we all did. That just by making her smile and cracking a joke everytime we visited her on Sundays after mass was enough to tell her how I really feel. And the smile she would give back was enough to make me feel really good inside for the rest of the day.
I miss her a lot already..

Arence and I laughing our mother effin asses off at 4 in the morning was the best darn thing. Rick Astley is officially my all time favorite singer and I will worship him even when the time comes that my hips are too rusty to do 180 degree twists.

News of Francis Magalona's death shocked everyone today. It definitely is one of the saddest things to happen in Philippine history. He was a fighter and a great dad (I know this) and I can only imagine that he is in a better, much greater place right now.
REST IN PEACE FRANCIS M... You'll be missed.. |

| when boredom strikes again |
[Mar. 2nd, 2009♥05:44 am] |
After attempting to make hand-drawn stickers out of boredom last night, I gave up and decided to rumage through my stuff instead. I then found a green Bear Cuddler can full of letters from yesteryears and like a curious little bugger, I ran through them one by one with great amusement. When I was almost near the bottom of the container, I found this poem from one weird dude who well, kinda had a thing for me in college. I hate to admit it but I sorta had this very strange liking towards him as well that time. I dunno why. Anyway, turns that out he was a creep and a real life stalker in the end. Oh well, moving along! LIBOG O TULA

| Nestle, a new do and dinner |
[Feb. 27th, 2009♥08:36 am] |
Waking up everyday at 2PM is getting to be a big inconvenience. Aside from this health issues, waking up after noon time also gets me cranky and that can't be good. But instead of being a pissy camper because of cramps and the occasional body aches when I wake up, I was greeted by a beautiful pink Nestle jar (the small version). I used to have one of these before. Remembering where I last left it was the problem. I'm definitely not losing this. I can't wait to see some of the other colors, mom said there were a few others in the supermarket. You couldn't get the small containers before, they were like limited jugs. I guess they decided to produce and market them anyway. This just made me smile. YAY!
Now today was supposed to be wash-my-effin-laundry day but since I got up late again, I skipped that and had my hair cut. Now, for all of those who don't know, I hate getting haircuts.
(FLASHBACK...)
When I was a kid around 6 years old maybe, my mom told my dad to have us all have our hairs cut (me and my then two brothers). My dad confirmed with my mom if I was going to have my hair cut as well and mom said YES. And so my dad did as he was told and he had all our hairs cut. Here's the thing, when I came home, my mom got so furious because I looked like a boy! Hiyep, my dad took me to the BARBER's SHOP along with my brothers. This story's kinda funny if you think about it but in the long run, this became a very traumatizing thing for me. And I might've jinxed it because I've had a lot of bad DO's in my life. Not to mention the curly hair I used to don which made my life even more dreadful. (thank gahd for REBOND). Anyway, up until now, I still get anxious whenever the thought of getting a hair cut comes to mind. Fortunately, I got a good one this time. Not what I really would have wanted, but it was SAFE and I didn't have to regret spending a lot on it too.
Once I got home from the salon, I was tasked to make dinner. This is beginning to become a trend now at home. Surprise dinners by moi. Tonight's dish was Penne Pasta with Red Sauce and Mozzarella Cheese.
Preparing this was exciting because I was going to use Mozzarella which means I was going to BAKE the thing. I've never placed anything in the oven besides cookie dough and cupcake batter so this was a first. I did everything from boiling the pasta to sauteing the ground meat to making the sauce and finally placing it in the oven. Once again, I was really proud that I was able to cook a decent meal at home. And I'm getting more than 2 thumbs up from the folks so I guess that's a good sign.
Maybe still have a shot with this cooking thing. MAYBE. ^_^ |
